What "norms" do is permit lawyers to keep billing while chumps wait two effing years for their poor parents' meager estate to settle or seven effing years for a Katrina insurance claim to pay one thin dime. I've seen it umpteen times how those cherished "norms" work.
Perhaps the victims of legal "norms"—we the people—should have standing to sue the bar, the courts, DOJ, SCOTUS, Congress, and the Executive for damages.
My great disappointment is in 2 people, Chief Justice John Roberts for violating the Constitution to allow Trump to run for office after the insurrection and Merrick Garland for failure to timely prosecute Trump and his conspirators for Jan 6. It would have been so simple, round them up and charge them, nothing that we are witnessing today would be happening, none of it. We would be moving on as an intelligent society dealing with our problems, some better than others, but medical research would still be advancing, we would not be in an un-winnable war with Iran, those who committed grave crimes against our nation would be rotting in jail lamenting what they had done. The truth would have credibility in our courts and throughout society instead of what we see every time we turn on the TV. We’ll see if we can survive this, I doubt now that it will happen in my lifetime, not here in the US. All of our ancestors came here from somewhere else in search of a better life, I wouldn’t blame anyone for leaving now, but where to go is the question, another World War will consume the planet and these idiots are likely to get one started. Tell me I’m wrong and why, I’d love to hear it. 🙏
