If any of these Vipers were Christian, they would be in fear of the consequences when their time here is done. The fact that they are not, tells me that they are just hypocrites, evil to the bone

So many crimes! So many pardons! How can you keep track of all the people Trump has pardoned? Use the free Criminal-In-Chief app on your phone or laptop.

Thanks again, Greg. Every time I read you I am enlightened and educated, but also sent into the depths of despair and depression. The failure of the press, the elites, the politicians, the spiritual leaders, and yes, especially the people in general, to ignore and even celebrate the depravity, cruelty, vulgarity, corruption, dishonesty and genuine evil of this man, will never be explainable on any level to me.

Someday, somehow, some way, he must be held to account, if not here, then in eternity. This is sick and perverse and evil. Sadly, I am also convinced our country is going to pay a bitter and costly price for OUR depravity, cruelty, vulgarity, corruption, dishonesty and yes evil in championing this horror.

You bring this all into focus just about every single time…..thank you.

My MAGAt sister-in law said to me, it’s just a different political opinion. I was gobsmacked. Hell no, I said. Anybody who thinks that, and is not a Fox watcher, is either stupid or is doing what she is told. Deliberate ignorance is beyond anything I can tolerate. She was a favorite with me, as I watched her try to find her voice after marrying my bro at 16. She failed, and was parroting the message from her family and church. So much division, and for a useless arse who has nothing but contempt for his sheep. They would not care if he did all that. The cult is way worse than Covid…

The pardons are not a political opinion. They are all about one's system of ethics and justice. No one who understands this can condone it and call themselves fair, decent, honest, Christian, etc.

Expand full comment
JDinTX's avatar

I made that clear and we no longer talk. Sad but such hypocrisy is anathema to me, by any measure. Christian, my arse….

Greg Olear's avatar

Thanks, Rick. I think that if people knew more about the pardons, specifically, they would be appalled. It's not a partisan issue, it's purely one of fairness. To me, thats the best case to make against Trump, if MAGA are patient and open minded enough to listen.

I’m not sure I can read fast enough to keep up. However I get this odd feeling that on the one hand so much corruption is happening so fast that more Americans are aware in real time of what is happening. On the other hand if the current administration is so fearless what do they have planned that gives them this confidence? Is this a foot race on a treadmill? As usual nice job. Thanks.

Expand full comment
Greg Olear's avatar

Thanks, Randall. Remember that it's always a firehose of shit with him. He Gish gallops as policy. Since I started doing this, going on 9 years ago, I try to look back and review and be very clear and specific. But it's hard to do that because the news media isn't set up to go back and review, it's set up to tell you the news, and Trump generates SO MUCH NEWS.

Cheeto Chump and his invertebrates are so busy with their crimes that they’re oblivious/don’t care what 99% of America thinks. However, more Americans are catching on and getting angry with his corruption as it affects them directly.

CC and company ignore that they aren’t immortal. Their billions can’t buy that. Madame Karma and God Herself thankfully get their says in everyone’s life.

Jimmy Kimmel featured the TACO thing last night. If not for him, I wouldn't have any idea what it means: Trump Always Chickens Out. And Trump, of course, HATES it! HA! Fuck him.

Also, if Trump is "considering" pardoning the felons who planned to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, it will be done, 100%. He hates Whitmer because she doesn't worship at his feet. My prediction of a Trump pardon for Dylann Roof, the mass murderer who killed nine people at MLK's church in Atlanta in 2015, still stands.

NOTHING and NO ONE being pardoned would surprise me. He'd pardon Hitler if he'd ever been charged with federal crimes. A pardon from Trump is a dime a dozen -- or rather, $12 million a dozen. Either way, it's become meaningless from what the pardon was originally meant to be. And where ARE all those Originalists, voicing their concern?

Trump's enterprises have gone bankrupt from mismanagement. He has managed to turn the US Into a third world country. I could go on, but this guy is not the stable genius he claims to be. Well, we have found one thing he is very good at. And he has got a get out of jail free card to do it. Wow. Wish I was so good at something.

Trump's a Mafia Don. Unrestrained, unprincipled, unquenchable if that is a word. No matter how long this stuff has gone on and how it grows worse every week I continually have to ask myself "Is this real, can this really be happening?" Haven't revolutions been fought over less? At what point does it hit the fan?

An article about 47's fury at Leo reminded me of your amazingly researched pieces on the topic. The journalist didn't cover half the background. Still, another bit of (vehemently denied, of course) corruption saw more daylight. But what is enough? Is there "too much"?
