Ramble On: The Traitors are in Charge (Video)
Morning thoughts on Trump/Musk putting our national security through the woodchipper.
With the PREVAIL podcast on hiatus, I decided, as an experiment, to do a podcast-style intro in video form. Call it a ramble.
If you’d prefer not to watch, here is a transcript:
Good morning. While my podcast is on hiatus, I thought maybe I would just do like a podcast monologue, but in video form. Can you believe it’s, I mean, were basically only two weeks and change since the takeover. It’s like on January 20th, the country gave two weeks notice—or democracy did. And you know, that’s it. We’re just like preparing now for something else awful coming in to shake things up.
Clearly, there’s a major coup going on. I mean, this whole Elon thing. I knew that that would be bad as soon as he went to Pennsylvania during the election. But boy, oh boy, this is all way worse than even I thought. And, you know, I wrote a book about how bad it was going to be. And this is blowing my mind. It’s kind of nice to see some fight-back from the Democrats. I don’t know if it's too late. I hope it’s not.
The one thing I wanted to point out early on, because I don't think it’s getting enough attention. You know, we’ve been saying for years now that Trump is a foreign asset, you know, Kremlin whatever. Clearly, he does not have the best intentions of the American people at heart. I think every objective human can agree upon that, right? And Musk, of course, is even worse. Now, in the name of efficiency, this DOGE, totally stupid DOGE. I think he read about the Fourth Crusade, he read about Venice, and he thinks that he’s one of these oligarchs who basically that ran Venice—that’s what a Doge is.
Anyway, they’re trying to make these cuts, and that’s sort of the excuse they’re giving. “We have to cut spending, we have to make things more efficient,” as if the US is broke or something. Maybe if these fuckers paid their taxes we wouldn’t be in this problem, but whatever, that’s neither here nor there.
What happened in the last week proves to me beyond a shadow of a doubt—and should prove to everybody—that these people are operating at the behest of hostile foreign powers. What do I mean?
First, USAID. Okay, I most people don't know what USAID is, what it does. I admit I did not think about it very much in my life until last week, although I have friends that operate in that world. Anyway, crippling USAID like that and saying, “We’re just going to do a freeze,” you know, the equivalent of “We’re just going to wait and see and try to figure this out and see what happens.” That, that line of thinking, right, seems logical, I think, to most Americans, I think. “Yeah, yeah, we’ll just hit pause, you know, just hit pause, do a little study.” The problem is with these USAID programs, you can’t just hit pause. There is no pause. There’s either you’re going or you’re dead.
So by doing this, he’s effectively crushing all of this long-term soft-power work that the United States has been doing for a long, long time to basically hold sway in the world, in global affairs, which is really important because if we’re not there doing it, China’s going to be doing it. Russia’s going to be doing it. Other hostile foreign powers are going to be doing it. So it’s like one of these things. It’s like somebody’s got to do this; if it’s not us, it’s going to be somebody else. So, you know, the other alternatives are all worse. Therefore we have to do it. Well, he killed USAID, blamed it on efficiency. And that’s just a gift to Putin and it’s a gift to Xi.
But the thing that even, I mean, really just drives the nail home for me: this week at the urging, the insistent urging of the executive orders of Trump, and the new director of the CIA, John Ratcliffe—puts the rat in a Ratcliffe, right? That guy’s just a fucking traitor and always has been—sent over, via regular email, a list of all the new recruits that have been working for the CIA, all the employees in the last two years, I think, that have been hired by the CIA. And I guess they didn’t give the full names. They just gave like the, you know, like on Severance, “Mark S.,” and they sent it via a regular email—i.e., an email that can easily be hacked and has been hacked already, I’m sure—to the White House group that’s doing this shit.
So why is that important? These are, this is like the new wave of CIA. These are the new wave of people who overseas are supposed to protect us and give us information. And now that mission has been fatally perhaps wounded before it even got off the ground. It’s like a SpaceX rocket, right? It’s just boom, it blows up before it gets to where it’s going. Why the fuck would they do that? Why? Don’t tell me it’s about efficiency of hiring. It’s the fucking CIA. The CIA doesn’t hire everybody. It’s hard to get a job at the CIA. You know, they hire good people. They hire very specific people. People now who speak Chinese, know, Mandarin and stuff, especially, are of great import. That’s who they hire. And now all of those people are compromised before they even begin. That does not help the United States. That helps China, helps Russia. That’s all that it does. And by doing that specific act, by insisting upon it—Trump insists upon it; Ratcliffe does it—all that tells me is that these fuckers are traitors. I mean, you know, unequivocally, they’re just unequivocally traitors.
And I know I've gotten shit from people: “Everything’s Russia, Russia, you just think.” Well, you know what? I’m right. I’ve been right the whole fucking time. This is what’s happening. The guy is amoral. He is compromised. And now he’s in charge of the federal government. And he’s found someone even more amoral and even more compromised to put in charge of putting the government “through the woodchipper.” That’s the word Elon Musk used because he’s so funny. Elon Musk is so funny. Put the government through the woodchipper.
So I don’t know what’s going to happen, but man, if Russia and China jointly invaded the United States and started blowing things up, it would have less of a long-term effect on the government and on our safety and national security than what actually happened these last two weeks. So, yeah. Sit with that.
Anyway, we’re gonna have a lot more to say tonight on The Five 8, but I wanted to get that off my chest this morning, while it’s still dark out. Anyway, yeah, I don't even know how to end these things, because I've never done them before, but I hope that in spite of all this, people do manage to have a good day, a good week, and remember we can only do what we can do, and it’s okay to give yourself breaks, it’s okay to think about something else, you know, it’s okay to...just go enjoy the Super Bowl, you know, assuming that it happens. I think it probably will.
Anyway, take care. We shall prevail!
See you tonight at 8pm ET for The Five 8:
Thank you Greg. I read all of the transcript. I have always loved and appreciated your writing. It always feels like I am sitting across from you at the ' diner ' and we are just having a conversation between friends.
I'm just about out of the shock and awe state.."I'm a nervous broad " ( lifted from Klute - Jane Fonda ) so, even though I knew a blow was coming it still left me in shock. I am grateful for your endless work in always helpful us to PREVAIL.
