From your keyboard to Gods ears...

I concur with Deborah MacPherson - from your keyboard...... but, for a seasoned writer and journalist to be so enthusiastically confident in describing our hoped for future, you must know more than the rest of us in our state of acedia.

Greg, as uplifting & balming as your words are, the scar caused by the shock & despair I sustained at 11:55 p.m. EST on 11/8/2016 has left me in a guarded & pessimistic mindset despite them. Until I hear that Joe is our POTUS for reals, I won't be able to shake this sickening dread that encases my psyche.

ReTHUGlikkkans have repeatedly proven their cheater chops, and I believe there's no low they won't stoop to in order to steal this election. It feels like, if we dare to hope, we're tempting Fate to pull the rug from under us once again, maniacally laughing at our continued naivete...

Dark, I know, but I believe that Fake45, Barr, Coney-Barrett, Moscow Mitch & his GOP cabal, etc. have a series of responses and scenarios ready & waiting to "put-in" play to stay in power. 7 more days 'til blastoff! ✊🏿✊🏾✊🏽✊🏼✊🏻✊💙🇺🇸🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

We are all traumatized. I'm not immune. This has been a brutal four years, and last election day was one of the worst days of all of our lives. My stomach has ben in knots ever since. But we will win. We can't sit back and watch it happen, but everyone knows that. We are all invested in seeing this through. And we shall.

Thank you for these words which provide comfort, uplift and focus. I am terrified. I'm terrified to the point of making myself physically ill. At the same time I know that each of us has tremendous power not only when we work together as a team but as individuals when we feel the terror but claim the vision anyway. When we create joy in our lives, or a poem, painting, garden, knitted booties for grandkid, song, drama, humor, chicken noodle soup - when we create consciously and acknowledge our power to create we are flipping the bird to the soulless ghouls who can only survive by creating misery, fear and hatred. They've got nothing. So yeah, I feel the terror and at the same time choose to believe in my power and your power to create their kryptonite - beauty, joy, laughter and love. I'm sick of giving them my power.

Don’t give them your power. Fuck them. The block where my office is in DC is being boarded up for his long gun asshats to come to town on white horses. Personally I hope he flees. Those fences in Lafayette Square and his lawlessness are a disgrace. Believe in your power.

Buoyed by your optimism and only fear that a Biden/Harris presidency means fewer epic lines like, "Hope is nothing more than the name of the feckless aide who infected the President with covid-19." Hoping suburban women and Gens X, Y and Z turn TX blue as part of this tsunami....

In my own twisted little mind, I like to think that Trump contracted the infection while mingling with his adoring (and wretched) fans and then gave that infection to Hope.
