So hard to be optimistic these days. Still, I'll adopt what others on the other side of the aisle say and...never back down. Vote Blue, everyone!

The fundamental problem is Fox "News" and the other seditious media. As long as they feed the hate the GOP has created for almost fifty years, the vicious circles of hate and ignorance will get stronger and more permanent. Fox must be prosecuted, convicted and FORCED to retract and correct their years of lies. Good luck with that; Dominion cavex in for money, without truth

Fox News is a poison machine, pumping pathogens into the discourse.

Given the first amendment, only repeated lawsuit by those with very deep pockets, along with patriotism, can help.... So. We're fucked 😥

What an excellent commentary! The history, global significance, and perspectives are big. Great partnering-- I follow Ruth Ben-Ghiat too. As usual, I’m rereading and sharing, so it’s a ☕️☕️☕️ day... 🙌🏼 Bravo!

#notmypresident and the Not My President's Day Rallies were formed to reject Trump as president. Fascists didn't do it. Resisters did. I know that the whole "Fascist" thing is trending but if we set up broad definitions it comes back to haunt. To this day NeverTrump and Resisters call Trump "tRump" and refuse to say "President" as a title for him. They believe the 2016 election was stolen with the aid of Russians like Prighozin and Kilimnik. Trump might win in 2024. The pulpits are specifically telling churchgoers to reject being called, "Fascists," by voting for "Jehu"...aka Trump. It only takes one Christian jurist in Georgia to say..."I reject being called a fascist."

It has always been my take that the plot was missed by the left and that this is a Christian issue. For sure some of the muscle were militants. Not accepting that this is a Christian issue will lose 2024.

Not sure who still needs to be told that it was at Franklin Graham's instruction Jezebel was to be taken down. Eastman was just a means to that end. What did you care about in August 2020? Trump rando reached out to Eastman about a new citizenship article? Who are Trump's evangelical advisors again? Really bad journalism around Eastman today. For shame. August 2020 article. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/kamala-harris-biden-franklin-graham-abortion-christians

One more thing...if you attend Five 8 chat dear reader...you have been getting great intel from chat. ACLJ is now representing Garrett O'Boyle, the IRS whistleblower. Jay Sekulow's outfit. Lookit all the intel being riiiight.

One thing you did not hear in chat is that Russian Generals were given Prighozin's head to play with. Facts matter.

Is Eastman connected to Franklin Graham?

Putting down the “elites” as Rinaldi did in Texas is the same movement as DeSantis’ anti-woke campaign and Trump’s 2016 assertion that he loves the poorly educated. Authoritarians love herds of sheep to manipulate. Those of us who care about truth, decency and integrity hold the future of this Nation—including Texas—in our hands.

To be clear, we all want Texas to right the ship. It's a great state and I have a lot of friends there. But the leadership is rotten to the core.

Indeed. But Governor Evil seems to mark a tipping point to me: it's either a descent into complete darkness, or nowhere to go but up. Maybe Texas will secede, and like it did in 1836, find out that with no one to fight its fights in Washington, will "suffer" a take-over of democracy loving citizens. It's a process.

Ruth Ben-Ghiat was great. I learned a lot listening.

Nina B. was on fire on the Five/8! Also, LB's "tutorial" about one person/one vote versus one person/one share helped my understanding immensely.

Many thanks, Greg, for making it all happen!

A great google for getting training wheels around the Christian Coup is to google "billy graham funeral senator burr" and switch to Images instead of articles. Those connections in photos at Billy Graham's funeral are golden... including all the Mark Meadows associates. Billy Graham should never have laid in state in the Capitol Rotunda, either. Separation of church and state. Just short years later the Rotunda would be overrun by insurrectionists.

Yes, Franklin Graham has all the church databases, not just in America but worldwide. The guy has an office at CapMin.
