Great interview! Greg I went looking for your newest book on Amazon. I noticed in your biography they listed all your great endeavors but they listed The Five 9 instead of The Five 8. Anyway I bought the book and look forward to reading it. See you tonight on The Five 8!
Everything old is new again? Yikes flashbacks to Palmyra, Syria concert upon seeing what Wang Fan has done in Mariupol now. Ukraine...no words how this makes you feel. But there is a pattern.
Excellent piece/ interview Greg! Putins inhumane reign of terror on Ukraine will likely find resolve in his demise! Sadly his cake walk annexation of Crimea had little global resistance, yet surely should have been more forcefully met with resistance. Which is the reason we find ourselves deeply involved in this war, damn!!
Crimea sounds like a naturally beautiful place, and I appreciate this background information about it. I hope for a timely end to Putin’s evil regime. Maybe the movers and shakers who are responsible for ensuring that democracy prevails can’t rely on wishful thinking, but this octogenarian—who’s past moving and shaking—can. I’m counting on the eventual triumph of good over evil.
Earl. I love your heartfelt sentiments. People that are 80+ are so good. Loaded for sure as a person in 50's. I can't help but think if my 80+ Great grandmother had not told me things....I would not have known.
One thing she made sure I would have is Bea 1933. A bracelet.
A #Tesla bumper sticker mocking Elon Musk says it all: I BOUGHT THIS BEFORE WE KNEW ELON WAS CRAZY.
Excited to listen. Your guests' lived experiences give me new perspectives.

Did anyone catch Walter Isaacson’s rather effusive opinion piece in the Washington Post today?

You loosely say, "Octogenarian."
And my first thought is "love." Around Beatrice.
Uke crane?
There's hardly been a peaceful moment in that part of the world since at least 600 ad.
