Don’t forget the “dissident” purge that MBS did in 2017-2019 after he created his “anti- corruption committee. Where did those names come from, eh?

Is it surprising to anyone that - against the better judgement of the managers of the fund - MBS gave Jared $2 billion to play with from the Saudi Sovereign Wealth Fund?

Expand full comment

Per the Intercept report, he got the names from Jared, whom he fleeced.

So the $2B was like, what, a tip?

Makes sense 😹

I hope so. In FLA anything can happen. They elected the guy who paid the largest Medicare fraud fine in history to the Senate.

Excellent Again Greg Another Expose of the Trump Cartel influence on Senators I am sure there are more such as Lindsey and Rand Paul etc

Yes. Plenty in my archives on those two, and Ron Johnson as well. The tell is when they did a 180 at a weird moment.

I don't get why Rubio would live for years under threat when all he would have to do is retire from politics like so many of his peers have done. I'm sure he would be very prosperous in the private sector.

He's broke and he has four kids. And he's one of those people who always wanted to be a politician. It will be devastating for him if he loses.

The only answer to your question that makes sense to me is: FEAR. Nothing else makes sense to me. Fear of what? I don't even want to know (yes I do!). The more I find out the more my skin crawls. As an aside, I recently stumbled on some Real Estate information about disgraced loon Michael Flynn. It is from April 2021 - he and his wife (someone married him) bought a house in Florida for $545,000. Here is a quote from the article in Sarasota Magazine, "Boca Royale lacks the social prestige of The Oaks but it also lacks the price tag. A million-dollar home here is pretty special, while a million dollar home in The Oaks is nothing to brag about—if you can find one." This strikes me as very strange. While $545,000 isn't a small amount of money, is it enough to sell your soul for?

Didn't Flynn sell out to the Turks for like 30 grand? As Rick says in Casablanca: " I don't mind a parasite. I object to a cut-rate one."

I understand Greed as a motivation to be a traitor to your country, as despicable as that is, I understand it. But to do that for a pittance? More evidence of deep mental illness.

Greg. Keep pulling back all the layers of corruption and lies. My spirit will be able to leave this earth, when we view one hundred FBI Agents, accompanied by Capitol Police, arresting every senator and representative with conspiracy of insurrection, along with other felonies. And then they can join trump in prison. We are tired of corrupt power and anyone who has violated oath of office. This “scene” as you visualize, will end the trump regime and blow away the stink of trumplicans and magabillies left in this country. We want our government to provide JUSTICE, not Bill Barr working INJUSTICE.

Thank you. They will need a lot more than a hundred G-men, though...

Greg. Anytime I see the words: Saudi Arabia, Mike Flynn, Nuclear Secrets, I have to post the summary of an investigation that should be resurrected. Readers, this is about a 20 minute read but well worth your time.

Flynn is a foreign agent working right out in the open in the U.S, and I don't think that's an opinion anymore, but a fact.

And let's not forget: "...In the ensuing uproar over Mr. Khashoggi’s killing, Mr. Kushner has reportedly “offered the crown prince advice about how to weather the storm, urging him to resolve his conflicts around the region and avoid further embarrassments.”

For Kushner, Jamal Khashoggi's murder and dismemberment by MBS' agents was an "embarrassment" for MBS, and something to be "managed." I couldn't be more revolted by these people if I tried.

I confess that I have no idea anymore what the formerly "normal" Republicans are thinking, and so I don't think about it. As you've said in the past Greg (and is also a feature of that great new credit sequence on the Five-8), "The traitors are easy to spot." Among Republicans now, the PATRIOTS are easy to spot, and so far, I have Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger, neither of whom will be in the House after January. There may be other elected Republicans who are patriots, but they have been silent. I have come to assume that EVERY Republican who is like Rubio or maybe especially the ones who remain silent, are the traitors. There are more of them now than patriots, and are legion. Truly, the patriots are much easier to count.

Well said, Steve, as usual. I think you can count them on one hand, actually.

Gee, Greg, I bet you thought once you came back that all would be resolved and we wouldn't need you anymore. NOT!!

Here's my comment: With Rubio making noises about the MAL documents being just a "storage issue," it makes me wonder about my own Senator Mark Warner who is the Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence who works closely with him. Does he just wink at the Ranking Minority Member and say, "I know you don't mean it; you just have to do what you have to to get reelected"?

Expand full comment

Excellent point. I felt that way about Schiff, having to work so closely with Nunes. Like Batman working with the Joker at Justice League HQ. Insane.

Actually, D's and R's do work together on committee assignments. So perhaps they do make it a point to stay in their respective "lanes" when it comes to political grandstanding. I saw a video a while back where Whitehouse and Graham were complementing (not complimenting!) each other while running a Judiciary committee hearing. So weird!

It’s fair to ask why Rubio is so unabashedly protRumpian. The ? is, why isn’t the press asking him this? His peers on the intel committee need to roundly condemn the full throttle trump apologist mode that he has descended into. Val Demmings could not have asked for a more compromised opponent. It’s time for the reign of absurdism to end with the strongest hammer to the nail. That means rounding up Dems for the next 6 weeks in droves to go vote. Been comparing tRUmp to the Rosenbergs for years but until the msm does it; it’s apparently unthinkable. Just like any primate; if tRump is repeatedly rewarded & allowed to skate on criminal things he did he will continue to act accordingly. Garland has about an 100% conviction rate, but alas, there is still no publicly know indictment.
