No one would stop him. She lives in FLA too now, I believe, and they both can't come from the same state, but that's easy enough to fix. Cheney had to do it when he ran as VP, as he also lived in Texas.

The threat is real. This morning the doorbell rang. A women handing out a thing meant to hang on door handles. It excoriates Biden for a horrid withdrawal from Afghanistan and tells of his intent to raise taxes, not on just the wealthy but all citizens. It then tells of 45's virtues. This happened in a county that voted over 60% Democratic in the last two Presidential elections.

The Caeser plot is part of the game plan. Republicans for the most part hate 45, he is tolerated as a means to an end, their best chance to beat Biden. Get him elected, keep him locked in the private residence calling in to Fox, allow him plenty of golf time. During this time the appartchiks get moving on project 2015. After six months, assassination, not by knife or gun but by invoking the 25th amendment.

The only sticking point is how they get 45 to select THEIR chosen VP, the real danger in this. My money is on JD, a true danger and as an acolyte of Thiel, the favored choice of the moneyed. Not that Thiel is liked in Silicon Valley but he and JD can be tolerated as they free the techno chaps from regulation, indeed big all business, allowing their evil empires to expand unchecked while their bank accounts swell to unheard of proportions.

Is this a fantasy, not in a Cinderella way, rather in the tradition of all Roman Empite evils? I think not, more an oxymoron, a realistic insanity that explains the crap we see and read about every minute of everyday.

I hadn't even considered the 25th amendment, but you're right. That may well be coming. Which means that he has to stack his Cabinet with true loyalists: Kash and Stephen Miller and etc. But that woman at your door IS pretty convincing...

Seriously, though, the threat is real, very much so. In my limited contact with people who aren't fully engaged, some of them are voting for Trump, none of them like Biden, all of them don't understand the stakes. Can we depend on them to take to the streets when project 2025 gets rolling, and they see that they fucked up and destroyed the country? I honestly don't know. Plenty of regular Germans liked the Nazis just fine.

Garner was VP from FDR's first two terms, a representative for 30 years and had been Speaker of the House, which he gave up for VP; born in 1868, he was a pretty crusty old fart. He's from Uvalde; Garner State Park is named after him.

The difference is that they don't have the remnants of a durable 250-year-old democracy to contend with. Putin, Xi, and Kim are basically tsar, emperor, king, like those countries have had historically for a thousand years plus. It's not as easy to kill an entire culture. Orban, as I understand it, took a step back in the last elections.

Ever since he mentioned shooting someone on Fifth Avenue, and his lawyers and sycophants started saying the president should be able to do anything with impunity, they’ve been trying to normalize the casual consideration of death. Yes, they’re a death cult, and your discussion is anything but preposterous.

There's really nothing preposterous about any of this, Greg, but yes, it's offensive to have to think about. I don't think that Trump will actually THINK about any of this, he'll pick his VP just like he picked his SCOTUS nominees; with "advice" from the Heritage Foundation and the Federalist Society. The only consideration he'll have is if their pick will upstage him in the spotlight. None of the people you mentioned would, neither would Tim Scott, so it's a dice roll at best. My money is on JD Vance, who is probably the most dangerous of the lot, and if Vance is REALLY patient, would possibly make it six months before he was president. He would be the most welcoming to the terrorist manifesto that is Project 2025, and wouldn't, at first, take any of the spotlight away from Trump. It's ALL Trump cares about; being the "star," and if APPRENTICE IN WONDERLAND is accurate, it's all he's EVER cared about.

But, in the end, it doesn't matter who Trump picks, because unless I'm completely wrong about America, he won't be re-elected. It's brain-numbing enough to think that the race will be close, let alone that he'd be re-elected. Republicans have gone from the party of blood and soil to the party of blood and death in a very short time. I can only hope that voters will see this when they're in the voting booth and vote accordingly.

It's only 132 Days until Trump starts saying that he won the election. It seems like a short time, but this will be a VERY long election season.

Hi Steve, I don't know if you heard about the latest comments from Judy Sheindlin but she was asked about "The man who sold the world" conviction on 34 felonies and her reply was that it was a waste of money to prosecute him on those charges and that New York shouldn't have wasted that money on bringing this to trial. She thinks the money would be better spent on catching all the criminals that make it "impossible" to walk down the street or take the subway in New York City - all talking points courtesy of Maria Bartiromo. She's lost what was left of her damn mind. I stopped watching her after her endorsement of Niki Haley. Waiting for her re-runs to be canceled. Buh-bye.

Oh, I heard! I feel like the older I get the LESS of a loon I am, but it seems to work in reverse for some of these people. I stopped watching her after she started a new show and left Bird in the lurch -- she didn't even invite him to be on it or even bother to contact him to tell him what was going on. Her new hair sucked too! LOL She is now regularly peeing on her own leg and telling herself it's raining. Nutbar!!

Thanks, Steve. I think Vance is extremely dangerous, by far the most dangerous of the lot. It is interesting that Trump has the ultimate say on this...his VP candidate doesn't have to be confirmed by the Senate or anything. It's what he says goes. So the last guy to convince him before the deadline is who it will be.

And I agree with you. The campaign season is just getting started. Trump is a convicted felon, with three more criminal cases ahead of him. He's a hateful rapist with mafia ties. He lies all the time. He's a terrible role model for children. Few people under the age of 25 like him at all. How exactly is he going to PICK UP votes? Because he'll have to, to win. Who is going to say, like the Pitchbot, "I was a lifelong Democrat, but Joe is 81, so I have to vote for the 78-year-old Nazi." I have more faith in the American people. I was in NYC on 9/11 and watched how everyone responded. I know what we are capable of.

Your description of what happened with Cesar is exactly what the right wingers are hoping for. To instill complete chaos where everyone has to watch their back and can't trust anything anymore. Chaos, Confusion and Drama is their preference. I have had quite the education on which company's in our country care about their fellow human and which one's absolutely don't care while trying to settle my mother's estate. Of all of the company's I've had to deal with, T-Mobile, Dish, Allstate and Life Protect 24/7 have been the most empathetic and took action immediately. Medical Guardian and Comcast have given me the hardest time to the point of major heartache for me and my family. They have tried to make closing my mother's accounts as difficult as possible. Medical Guardian is still debiting money out of my mother's bank account as recently as a few days ago - two months after she passed away - they refuse to close her account.

The weird administrative stuff that happens when someone dies is extremely unsettling. Like, it's fun when they freeze joint bank accounts without notice! "I'm sorry your loved one died, but you now have to complete this mountain of paperwork in a timely fashion, and if you don't, vulture corporations will vacuum up money." Ghouls. Absolute Ghouls. But some of them are absolute Angels. I contacted AARP about what Medical Guardian is doing and lo and behold, I received a call from Medical Guardian with an apologetic tone and asking for a proof of delivery so they can refund the money they took out of my mom's account. If this is not resolved to my satisfaction, I will be filing a complaint with my State's Attorney. I sent a letter to the CEO and CC'd all of my Senators and Congresspeople and the Illinois State's Attorney as well as AARP. That seemed to get their attention. I'm most upset for people who do not have the time and energy to do all of that - I'm so emotionally exhausted but at the same time, there's a fire in my belly that keeps me pushing on. I found a saying on FakeBook that says, “Those who don’t

learn from history are doomed to repeat it.

Those who prevent History from being taught, fully intend to repeat it.”

Maybe we should be glad that these dictator lovers tend to stick their heads in the sand and ignore even the contemporary history of how dictators end up. My god, they don’t even have to go back that far. Oh well, maybe we can take comfort in this quote from Shakespeare’s Henry IV, Part 2; “Uneasy lies the head that wears the crown”. While it pertains to leadership and what it takes to be a good leader, in Felon 34/45’s case or any of his successors, it could take on a dark and an entirely different meaning.

Trump will on one hand, want a yes man who will never defy him or criticize him..that would be Tim Scott, he is weak.

On the other hand, he has to be careful that a person like himself (horrid and evil) could bump him off, as well. Vance?

So a cross between the two? Rubio?

Don’t forget trump probably feels he will live the full 4 years and beyond and can groom a trump wannabe for after that. If he stops elections, which he might, then he’d either be murdered by an ambitious cult member or simply die.

Let’s face it, if he wins, we are totally screwed. Glad I’m old.
