Programming Notes

There is a new episode of The Five 8 tonight. After that, both the YouTube show and the PREVAIL podcast will be dark until Friday, September 6.

I have some excellent interviews lined up that I will be recording between now and then—I’m super excited for Season 8 of the podcast.

After today, this column will be dark until Sunday, August 25. (I know the DNC is this week, but apparently not a single person involved with scheduling that event has a kid going off to college this year.)

If something happens in the next nine days that demands immediate attention, I may feel the need to weigh in. But I expect the DNC to be one inspiring speech after another—a Kamala Joyfest, refreshingly free of pro wrestlers and Kid Rock (who some people call “Bob”). Vote blue!

Kamala Joyfest

My friend Joanie Vee—an O.G. KHive who I met five years ago, when she was coordinating events for Kamala Harris in Washington State—has put together a website—WA4KAMALA.net—and a corresponding Twitter feed to promote Harris/Walz.

“We’re proudly unveiling our new website celebrating dream ticket of Harris Walz,” she says. “It’s 1-stop-shop for ways to support, be involved & CELEBRATE this historic ticket from ANY state. We’re all about The JoyFest!”

The website is an excellent resource for information on the campaign, Harris’s policies, events, and information on how to get the word out. Donations made through the site go directly to the Harris Victory Fund.

If you’re inclined to get involved but don’t know how, WA4KAMALA is a great place to start. You don’t have to be from Washington! The information is useful no matter where you call home.
