Sedition IS Sedition. You nailed it: "A coup is a coup. Seditious conspiracy is seditious conspiracy. A traitor is a traitor." Now, let's see if anything comes of it. I'm waiting to see what happens to those in Congress who played the game. I'm not holding my breath though.

Excellent piece, Greg! Pence had his nose so far up TFG’s ass that he didn’t see the light of day…until he did. I call Mike Pence a Ken doll. He had no balls during those 4 years. He was just as complicit as the rest and now he is preparing to run for president, just because he did one right thing. Boggles my mind but thankful we are getting down to the nitty-gritty. Here’s hoping that justice finally prevails in 2022.

Pence was in real danger, and Peter Navarro is a liar as well as an insurrectionist

Hope your words are heard by all. You called the big lie what it is. Thank you. As Orwell said, those who elect corrupt leaders are not victims, they are accomplices. ALL of chump’s team of evil are accomplices..

Everybody talks about Watergate, but with all due respect to everybody who’s in love with that narrative, this story is the biggest U.S. political story of our lifetime next to John F Kennedy‘s assassination. By his own government.

How can anyone think that one man, working by himself after being recruited by what are obviously CIA tactics, manages to disappear all the evidence associated with the assassination. Right.

A dirtbag, mobbed-up, Putin-employed President of the US does everything he can to remain president and corrupt an election.

This is easily the biggest story in this country right now. Like somebody else posted on HCR, I don’t know how this isn’t on the front page of every major newspaper every week. Thank goodness for Greg and Amanda and Heather and all the other intrepid investigators working this extremely vital story. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆

"...If Navarro is to be believed..."

He is NOT to be believed about ANYTHING. If Peter says the sky is blue, I will check. He was and is an enormous POS in the biggest shitpile we've ever had to live through in, probably, any of our lifetimes. Good coup/bad coup -- NO coup! The fact that all of this mishigas comes from people who are SUPPOSED to be Americans galls me the most. Other than Putin and his wily social media ways, this was not a foreign plot to keep the Orange Menace in power and deny Biden the presidency. These people are abominations! And I fucking HATE having to display my patriotism on my sleeve, but this has forced me to start waxing poetic about Truth, Justice, and the American Way! UGH!!

Obviously, I needed to rant today -- what were we talking about? Oh yeah, "Good Coup/Bad Coup," which I will now listen to while I work on mindless insurance audits. Thanks, Greg and Amanda, and have a great weekend!

I listened to the podcast this afternoon. I say the following as one who digs Amanda Carpenter's commentary about Trump, the present day Republican party, and the danger to our democracy, and who is happy to have her as an ally in saving democracy.

When she starts talking about Democrats and Biden, however, she's spews a lot of bullshit and people need to push back on it. Her crap about how Biden has failed fighting Covid is (1) a lie, (2) ignores science, (3) ignores why we continue to have variants , and (4) ignores how we got here in the first place. At least her anti-infrastructure rant is a politics issue with which I simply can disagree (with astonishment), but then she ties it to why Biden should be "focused 100% on Covid" and not about "building bridges", as if he is ignoring the pandemic or as if the government can do only one thing at a time.

If I recall correctly, you even said that the Democrats need to be more "unified". But that ignores that the Ds are comprised of a broad coalition. They don't need to be "unified". What they need to do is stop sniping at each other in the media, which feeds these bad faith "Dems in disarray" nonsense stories propagated by the media, primarily starting with right-wing media. Do you want them to be "unified" like Republicans? A bunch of overwhelmingly white, Christian racists and liars? I don't.

Every time her crap about Democrats gets out without pushback -- every time she says nonsense like this and the other person doesn't put it in perspective by relating it back to the absolute, patent disaster that was the prior administration and that is the current Republican party -- someone hears it and thinks "they're both bad, so I can vote for the Republican and sleep at night". They're not both bad. The democrats are not perfect. They could be much better at governing and politics. But their mistakes PALE SO FAR IN COMPARISON TO THE DANGER THAT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY PRESENTS AND THAT MUST BE PUT IN THIS PERSPECTIVE EVERY TIME IT'S DISCUSSED. EVERY TIME.

It is incredible to me that the Republicans -- the party that felt it was OK to let Covid loose in blue states because blue state deaths were good for politics -- possibly can gain more seats in the House after what they've done to this country, let alone re-take the House and maybe the Senate. We must take every opportunity to remind anyone and everyone that, while you may not love the Democrats, or their policies, or all of their people, the Republicans are not a viable option and you cannot vote for any of them. Period. If Amanda Carpenter wants to continue to refer to herself as a "Republican", that's her failure. If she can't get behind the Democrats, then she, and Charlie Sykes, and Tim Miller, and Liz Cheney, and Adam Kinzinger, and the handful the rest of them need to leave the Republican party and start a new one, and try to pull votes away from the Republican party so we make sure they are out of power until this wave of treason, sedition, support for Russia, obstruction, science denial, etc., is over (if ever). Or make the Conservative Party a real party rather than a Republican tag-along. But in 2022, and 2024, and 2026, and 2028, we have no choice but to vote for Democrats, period; and bad mouthing Dems or Joe Biden or Kamala Harris or whoever without putting the criticism in perspective of the alternative is not helpful, at all.
