We’re too civilized to “lock him & ALL the others up”, but at the same time the worms have eaten most of the pillars of our civilization. Only the younger generations can save us now. Many of the old folks seem to have arthritis of the brain. Is it because they’re still listening to old corporate media?

I’m a 65 year old Progressive Democrat saying this. Bernie Sanders had it right. He’s still promoting the change we need. I hope it’s not too late.

I think it was Bonnie who pointed out that with the older generation, who grew up watching the network news, it was hard to not tell that the Fox News model wasn't doing the same thing, because it LOOKED the same. Boiling frog, you know?

There are many more of us than there are of them, old and young, and that's why the fascists and the billionaires hate democracy. They will never have their way if we decide.

Bonnie?, Bernie?

Yes, but I see CNN & The NY Times doing it too.

They got their way in Germany for a while, with many adherents in England & here. And as Rachel Maddow pointed out, they got away with attempting to overturn our democracy in the 40’s because politicians were considered untouchable. I’m sure Repub’s know that history & are counting on getting away with it again. Sarah Longwell did a focus group with diehard Repubs. They all felt the Jan 6 rioters should be pardoned & trump did nothing wrong! Yikes. I do agree there are many more of us than them, but there are also many people who do not trust politicians from either party. I’ve got all my fingers & toes crossed & am staying as positive as I can. Thank god for Bernie and all you writers getting the message out. Keep up the great work Greg. I look forward to your posts.

A "little" condescending? He always looks angry he has to smell the rest of humanity's unwashed presence. The tension in his face is always there, and it's always around his nostrils. He hates humans, and he has no time or capacity for acting with humanity.

Kushner is an evil sociopath eager only to line his own pockets at the expense of others.

He learned from the best. His father was a shit and god knows his father in law is completely unmentionable as a human being. The moil’s knife probably slipped and Jared has taken out his high pitched rage on humanity his way. How perverted could trump have been to put Jared in charge of dealing with MBS only for Jared to turn it all on its head and have MBS throw money at him; and not chump change either. A couple of B’s and the Kushner are sitting in high cotton. Trump’s off the Forbes list and in hot legal water. Right now, things are looking interesting to say the least, for everyone.

Yes, his father was, and is, awful. To do that to family? Gross.

To be fair, Jared doesn't get to just keep the $2 billion. He gets his commission, which is A LOT of money for normal humans, but he still has to perform. And he has performed. Although most people, if handed that much dough to invest, would do it just fine. The Saudis, in their internal messaging, thought doing this was stupid, but said they did it just to manage the relationship. So, bottom line, yes, he's being actively bought, whether he realizes it or not.

(Greg Olear, article)'Who proposed, at that same meeting, a “backchannel” to Moscow through the Russian embassy? Jared Corey Kushner. Who, two weeks later, met with Sergei Gorkov, Putin crony and former head of a sanctioned Russian bank, at the Carlyle Hotel, for reasons we still don’t fully understand? Jared Corey Kushner.'

Oh, Greg! Before I was even a third of the way through reading your excellent essay, these thoughts entered my brain:

1. No way am I gonna spend four hours reading/listening to these interviews. Thankful that Greg is on it so I don't have to;

2. Oh, no! How will Greg and his family ever recover after reading/listening to these interviews;

3. What they need is a goodly supply of Italian Ices...

But first, intermezzo recipes: "Just as an intermezzo in an opera was intended to provide comic relief between scenes, an intermezzo in a meal is meant to be brief and refreshing, to cleanse the palate between courses." https://www.thedailymeal.com/brief-history-intermezzo-and-11-favorites/

Great summary! But what I want to know more about is the $640,000,000 Javanka made WHILE working for the US Government, while IN the US Government—an organization that’s not supposed to be a business entity. And let’s not forget, Kushner couldn’t get a security clearance he’d need to engage in all those miraculous meetings he attended or set up until his FIL overruled the intelligence community and gave him one. Keeping the Kushners away from the levers of government is just another reason to re-elect President Biden. Let ‘em grift somewhere else.

Thanks, John. Yeah, I missed the earnings while in office, and the two times he broke federal law by lying on his SF-86. There's more stuff, too, that LB knows more about than I do, invlving some of his more unseemly business connections...

I have a tendency to download and save these sorts of things for my own video library. I'm really not sure why since I have no children or even nieces or nephews, so I'm not sure who all of this video will go to when I die. But I do it anyway. Some shows that are just collections of miscellaneous documentaries are grouped under titles like "DOX Politics," or "DOX Crime," and sometimes get their own special title, like "Obama," or "The Rise and Fall of Donald J Trump," or "Insurrection at the Capitol."

My problem is I can't decide where this particular video should go. I don't have a "DOX Quisling" show, or a "DOX Traitors" show, because some of the others already cover that. SO, I'm left unclear. I could throw it into "DOX General" and be done with it, but a four-hour interview with Jared Corey (!) Kushner seems to cry out for something more specific. I'll probably settle on "DOX Crime" and call it good enough.

I'm unable to express anymore how sick I am of these fucking people. We don't have a harsher word in English than "fuck" and its many forms, so I'm kind of at a loss to describe how I feel about this constant wearing down of democracy, good sense, and American values. I suppose I'm wishing we could make America great again, but even that seems to be out of reach as long as these people keep poisoning the well. Kushner's bullshitty answers to some of the questions seem, yes, a word salad of incomprehensibility to NORMAL people. Maybe in his PARADIGM of the world, they make sense. I think by now, they DO to him. He has convinced himself that everything he did in the White House was right. Pretty soon he'll be sporting a fitted, black Calvin Klein t-shirt that reads, "Jared Kushner Did Nothing Wrong." I can't anymore with this guy, or his father-in-law, or his wife, or really, anything to do with any Trumplicans anymore. They are, at their core, evil. I know they don't think they are, but they are. And like evil everywhere, the only motivation for good people should be to defeat it.

I agree, Steve B.

I see Kushner as one of the faces of the international organized crime challenging and threatening us in the world. Like a well-groomed, smoothed out PR machine, he feeds the image to cover their horror and crime in the world. We react with feeling to the jagged juxtaposition of the truth we know and the giant lies he covers up; we may not have the specific info to put our finger directly on it, but we know this is a sham, a con and a continuing crime right in front of us, protected by vast money, and the large-scale complicity of certain dictatorships, his partners in crime.

Kushner never was nor will he ever be the face of Democracy. Never...

Really, the question is: what did the FBI uncover to deny his clearance? We need a whistleblower or someone who knows the truth and will express it.

He has very very good PR people. And I get why people liked working with him while he was in the WH. Next to Donald, at least, he's consistent. Consistently shallow and devoid of empathy, but consistent.

As usual, Steve, a perfect comment.

PARADIGM, 18 mentions. INSURRECTION, none. PANDEMIC, none. It calls to mind the lines from "Oleanna," the play from the alas-now-rightwinger David Mamet.

PROFESSOR: [something something] paradigm.

STUDENT: What's a paradigm?

PROFESSOR: A paradigm is a model.

STUDENT: Then just say "model."

Isn't his middle name perfect? Not sure how I wasn't aware of it until recently, but it's terrific.

Brilliant piece and breakdown of the podcast.

Thanks for listening because I don't think I could listen to a condescending Kushner, no thanks. He can try and twist whatever narrative he wants, we still remember.

"What actually happened is this: Under Bush, Putin took Georgia. Under Obama, Putin took Crimea. And under Trump, Putin took Washington." Never a truer statement. In fact, what kind of "strong man" is trump by doing putin's bidding?

Kushner is wrong though... A "peaceful world" under his father-in-law? I don't think so. He can't believe so. I'm sure he enjoyed those perks though.

The glibness of this ant that feeds on human feces is repulsive and should be to every American. I read every word you typed out and my heart was pounding. Could never listen to that sorry sonofabitch praising his paw-in-law nor his denials of engagement of grifting and what traitorous items he gave MBS for $2 billion. He wasn’t asked that question. You were very brave to listen to him, Greg. Thanks for the reveal.
