What a great way to start my day! So much energy! It’s still a long way to go, oddly, but the humor is back in this party. Score 1 for the new kids! And yes, LFG!

The farther out from Sunday this gets, the better it all looks. Even in my own house. My oldest, who is obviously not for Trump but was very reluctant to vote for Biden, is now firmly in Kamala's camp. Just one example, but I'm sure it's representative.

I’ve heard various things about why Obama and Pelosi waited to endorse her and it isn’t exactly clear to me. Perhaps they wanted an open convention. Or perhaps they didn’t want to appear to be the puppet masters of the Democratic Party and wanted others to weigh in first. Whatever the reason, we have a GREAT candidate now and I do believe we will win. Harris is strong, fit and funny, and. She can take tfg down rather easily. Looking forward to a debate between these two.

Waiting for the RNC to lumber Trump with Vance seems like prescience now!

It's hard to know what to believe, but, as LB said on the show a few weeks ago, Clooney would not have published that NYT piece -- which is what really kickstarted this -- w/o BO's approval, tacit or otherwise. But, whatever, the chessboard looks great now.

Biden has been a Jedi Master since he realized that his own party was trying to destroy his legacy! He has to be deeply hurt by Obama. Seems they might have had a few policy disagreements during their administration. I was shocked by Sunday’s announcement but feeling much better with the show of support for Kamala! I hope Kamala wins or the democrats leadership will have wrecked their own party. LFG!

I remember the gay marriage thing...Obama was taking his time about it, and Biden blurted out his support on one of the news shows. BO had to go along with it, and that opened the floodgates. I'm sure there were other examples.

Fate works in mysterious ways.

I was 100% behind Joe Biden, but look at how this "happy accident" is causing a major shift. Think of all of the bloodshed that a regular Democratic primary season would have caused. I'm not sure the Democratic elites would have allowed Kamala to be the choice. We avoided all of that, and we are good to go with a sudden burst of energy and a fantastic candidate!

I will never understand why people are attracted to hate and the concept of working together for the good of the country. But then I read the news, especially local news, and I see the idiots, low lifes and the bottom of the gene pool people. Then I get it.

For some it’s upbringing, others maybe genetic, but most have a defective brain in the cognitive abilities, emotions and an inner self of concepts of right and wrong. They are truly different mentally and they breed and can pass this on. You can look at a crowd at a trump rally and see it clearly.

I saw a list the other day of the top 25 countries with the highest average IQ. We were number 46.

I think it has to do with scarcity thinking: the belief that there's not enough [insert resource here] to go around. And there is. And we are smart enough to make sure there will be. But if you don't think so, of course you have to find a large segment of humanity to war against.

I, too, was upset with Nancy Pelosi but I now I have an alternate theory of events we have witnessed.

What bothered me the most was my surprise that Nancy Pelosi by opposing Joe Biden would jeopardize upending the nomination and electoral process (assuming that Red states would pull more crap than usual to contest candidacy of someone other than Biden.) Remember, the iron fisted mother of 5, grandmother of 9 would not bring vote to the floor unless she had the votes. And nobody could count votes like Nancy Pelosi.

So I think while there was genuine opposition to Biden as candidate, I think (this is all intuition) that Nancy and Joe did some kabuki theater (Joe having decided earlier to not run, again, gut feel) to ensure that Kamala Harris and party would not have to fight in a contested convention and that the transition from Biden to Harris (financing, nomination process, endorsements) would be seamless because what Dems needed more than anything was confidence in the process going forward and momentum.

Bottom line, I think Nancy, Joe and company (including DNC) put all the pieces in place to make that happen but the key was to keep it secret and feed media shiny new objects to chase so they would think Joe was King Learing (which he may have also been doing understandably) and Dems were fighting etc. I'm not saying strife and conflict weren't happening but I think it was being managed.

This brilliant, story book outcome was masterfully planned and executed. Again, just my thoughts.

I don't think of that as a conspiracy theory. I'm just seeing it as a little bit of a different perspective. I don't see anything nefarious in my account (again, just based on gut feelings). I saw the process as a very smart way of making lemonade out of lemons.

Thank you. Not sure if it's desperate need to hang on to my need to respect Nancy Pelosi or just a gut feel or both or nothing at all LOL!. I just have a hard time believing she would support a haphazard process that was not locked in, which was my biggest fear. I was very uncomfortable with the "and then unicorns will fart fragrant rainbows and there will be dancing" explanations advanced by the vocal and strident anti Biden contingent.

LFG, Brat, Coconut Tree Harris are memes the young people know well.

I have no doubt that Dark Brandon was on full display by stepping down and then unleashing his VP to be the candidate of choice. It was a quiet coup of immense proportions.

As for the media and punditry and so-called Dem leadership who are used to telling us what we should think, take heed: "There go my people. I must find out where they are going so I can lead them!" As for the rest of us: Damn the torpedoes; full steam ahead!

Welcome back energized Greg! The nation of people is excited because the Dems are running a person of integrity, regardless of race, color, gender or any other lame characteristics the "lack of character" characters can lift out of the swamp. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Republicans regret that they have had their coronation convention, attempt to get DT to withdraw, run Haley and pray the Dems mess it up with a poor choice for VP. They can let DT be like the puppet master Ayatollah of Iranian politics and just steer the barge, realizing that he is unelectable by the majority of the true populace.

Who would you prefer to be selected as VP candidate? I value your opinion!
