Great article, Greg. Thank you. But you have missed the actual GOP/Trump plan, already in action now, namely:

Amplify the death rate to obscene levels, create chaos and panic, then as the country breaks down, declare Martial Law, suspend elections (evade prison), and become #Mangowanker Turdking the First.

That plan is going to fail as those middle America states and down into the southern states as the “Trump MAGA base” sicken with COVID, and as the numbers of dead increase every day, Trump will lose his base-if he ever laid claim on their loyalty it will be severely tested and he will lose. Illness and death within families knows no loyalty to the one who has lied to them about it, calling it a democratic hoax, that the numbers aren’t true, or that only the elderly die, so many lies, but the truth about COVID will put all of that Trump bullsh*t aside, they will curse him by November, and he will be toast and so will the GOP

I hope so. A million deaths and looting will tempt governors to call the National Guard, which could mushroom in all Red states, then a call for national martial law which we may not be able to stop.

I can’t agree with that notion, as the pandemic takes over in cities, counties and states due to their inability to stay home, take direction that social distancing is a must by November there will be so many new cases of COVID that people will be afraid to leave their homes, except for essentials (meds and food) we won’t need a national guard or martial law if everyone is at home. The news now is that most of the new cases of COVID aren’t even showing up at the hospital for fear that they get a double dose or that even with treatment they will die. Numbers of sick and dead will be in serious doubt if folks don’t report that they have sick or dead folks at home. Voting by mail will be the only way that we can vote if all of what experts have said and that I’ve repeated here comes to pass

A million deaths.

I agree with the first part about the chaos and the panic, but not with the martial law/suspend elections bit. That is not happening. His term ends January 20, 2021, at high noon.

I don’t know that manufacturing a scandal-“one possible but untrue scandal” against Biden that may have happened 27 years ago, will move the needle as far as voters are concerned, in fact I am pretty sure that it won’t matter very much in the scheme of things. Reade’s report has been inconsistent from the beginning, her claim now that it was “sexual assault”, is most certainly untrue, because if anything happened at all it was likely he touched her arm too much...Most voters at this point have gone beyond caring about this, a trivial scandal, that on the face has been debunked as categorically untrue.

The point is Trump’s presidency is rife with scandal, none of which come to the attention of MSM for very long, because there’s a new scandal every day...his scandals are all that Trump has done while in the White House..in fact since Trump scandals have been so prolific, we’ve become inured with talking about them, dismissing them out of hand because we know Trump is capable of whatever scandal is currently being discussed on MSM. But, if Trump opens that box, its likely that MSM will be talking about all if his scandals. Is he willing to risk that while the Reade complaint has already been investigated and found to be without merit and the claim that she was assaulted is just to incredible to believe-that Biden is even remotely responsible, Trump yes, but Biden..no. Does Trump think that he can push this one rumour and he wouldn’t get backlash from his own past behaviour? I think not..Biden has been thoroughly vetted, there’s nothing in his personal file that even remotely resembles anything like what Trump himself has in his past.

The Trumpist press bangs the drum over and over, eve if it's BS. That's the problem. A class action lawsuit that shuttered Fox News would be the best thing that could happen now, in terms of fighting propaganda.

Yes, I totally agree, and it’s so obvious that Fox has taken a step back and examined the potential for liability when Hannity and Judge Jeanie rant and rave about the injustice of the world-to their audience of one...remember though it’s the “Trump Show” who really knows what Trump is liable you do next...

Fox is no longer the top of the conservative conspiratorial food chain, Facebook has taken that spot. And Fox is also no longer a Trump darling, his focus has shifted to a little “news” organization called OANN.

The perfect blend of hope & hilarity...only part I quarrel with is the idea that any of the Trump kids have considered using the word sinecure.
