Wow, what an image. I was just describing these times as a movie that Marlene Dietrich was in (Sternberg) who did extremely lit closeups of her…she was on a swing making circle after circle, her face always in that extreme closeup looking like an angel or something…. Carousel like nightmare and of course…. That image just informed the whole life of the movie. The music of the journey.
