Thank you, Greg. Yes, The Who, "and the shotgun sings the tune". And yes, Biden will be great, if only we can find a way to control Manchin and Sinema.
Joe Biden has five portraits directly across from his Resolute desk in the Oval Office.
The largest and central portrait is of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, who for most of his presidency knew he was dying and rose to greatness anyway.
Joe humbly sees the greatness he can bring to America, through his swansong, his last great work on earth.

I appreciate your identifying and expanding upon all three elements in this poem and matching them up so well with "conservative" pundits of today. (I'm going with Con-servatives because to me most of them operate as con artists.) This one element in particular hit me right between the eyes: "First, the lines ooze with subtle misogyny." That THIS current president bears any resemblance whatsoever to TFG is laughable and puts the cynical perspective of Belloc right where it ought to be placed - on a shelf, along with the remnants of TFGOP (that would be "the former GOP".)
I like "TFG" A LOT!!! It could be "The Former Guy," or it should more than likely be, "That Fucking Guy." Either way, I like it and I will start using it everywhere!
President Biden (that STILL has a nice ring to it, over 100 days after inauguration!) was right to point out that his first State of the Union-ish speech was history-making in that there had never been two women sitting behind the President during such a speech to Congress. The women are FINALLY here! And I can only hope for more of them, despite horror-shows like Marjorie Taylor Greene. As a man, I've come to the conclusion that most everything wrong in the government hierarchy can be attributed to the penis. Without the penis, there seems to be very little problem, again, despite Marjorie Taylor Greene, the walking exception that proves the rule. Boebert too! Ugh!
🤔... just now. No two people on the planet share exactly the same perceptions. It’s beginning to piss me off. We manage to agree on version of tomato soup, can’t we agree on some kind of democracy here and get on with this? It took the “best president” in our lifetime.... to do some good.
Thanks, you gave me a smile and I appreciate. And I think you're 100% correct, especially about the women

Godspeed, beautiful Joe.❤️
Who else does Joe gaze on?

Thanks! 😎
That was a truly wonderful response to that cynical poem!
Thank you.
Hear! Hear!
YAY! Thank you, Greg. Karen

Hilaire Belloc can suck eggs in hell!
How is it possible that world violence is down and we’ve just gone through the past four years.
