What I love about your schedule, Greg, is that you balance the horrible with your joy, the Sunday pieces. May we all have the discipline to balance our attention to news of the horrific with attention to the joyful and refreshing.
Shantih! right back atcha.
Love, and a happy, peaceful, and joyful feeling in the inner sanctum, to all of you.

As I wrote last year, in a piece about the Nicene Creed, “For me, Easter is the Christian version of the celebration of spring. Of rebirth. Of hope. And what is hope, after all, but blind faith in a happy outcome?”
. . . Whatever you may believe, my wish for you today is that your sense of hope be renewed, refreshed, and replenished.
Your wry wit always makes me smile, even as I'm looking up my new word for the day!
One thing that strikes me about good old T.S. is that he must have spent all his time trying to be clever by far and bumfuzzling everyone with his brilliance. Had he spent one second digging in the spring soil and discovering all that magic waiting to spring forth, he would never have described emerging life in such a dismal fashion.
On this Easter Sunday, I look out upon newly leafed trees, irises and roses blooming, spiderwort everywhere, and even a phlox that grew from a fallen piece out of a pot and is now a mass of purple near my back door. What's to complain about? Roots? Hah! Thanks to those "nasty" things buried beneath mulch during the winter, my little garden of yard is back again. Oh well, I cannot wax eloquent, but I most certainly can enjoy the fragrance and beauty of the day!
Greg, Thank you. The Waste Land is truly a masterpiece, the subject of an astounding interactive Apple programme by my good friend Max Whitby and co ( https://awards.ixda.org/entry/2012/the-waste-land/ ), including the voice of Elliot, himself. Your notes here I will forward to Max, as I am sure he is not aware of much of what you have noted. Wonderful my friend ❤️
I followed your link and it took me a while to realize that this is an iPad app (this other link has some info about it: https://www.theguardian.com/culture/video/2011/jun/07/ipad-apple-the-wasteland-apps-video). Of course I had to go down a 3+ hour rabbit hole excursion, and as luck would have it, my new MacBook Pro with Monterey OS plays iOS apps. This thing is pretty amazing!
I actually saw a rabbit (ok, bunny!) this morning on Sarge the Dog's first walk of the day. Somehow, Sarge did NOT see him because he's getting a little long-in-tooth, and I got to just watch the bunny sitting on someone's lawn, doing nothing but being absolutely still. I think wild rabbits must spend the vast majority of their lives being security-conscious or foraging for food. It's no way to live. I very quietly wished him a Happy Easter, and softly moved on.

You lost me with the mere mention of Ezra Pound but had me laughing out loud about Tucker’s The End of Men and the statement about parking their junk in their car charger. If that doesn’t top it off…🤣🤣

The Sunday pieces and the fake ad in the podcast are my two guilty pleasures of any given week. Thank you!

🥰🎉💕🙏
Amen / shantih.
With hope we embrace spring's reckless will to live.
You covered the waterfront with this one, Greg! Amazing. Happy Easter to you and yours! Karen
Thank you!

You too! Happy day!
You can indeed wax eloquent, Ellen!

Oh yes. I should have mentioned that. It is a masterwork of interactive excellence.
Oh, I'm sure he is. But thanks, and thanks for the rec!

Shantih, good sir!
Thanks! There is a bunny outside my window, actually. I think he lives in a hole just under my office. I see him all the time.

Yeah, Ezra Pound is meh. Ha!
