Lordy, know nothing about the matrix, Saul, or baseball, but happy to learn. What a mind bender. Yes, “there are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio…”. Pass that ayahuasca around, could use a hit. Crazy world or is it that reality bends as the monied propaganda dictates, until it doesn’t…

And I only know about ayahuasca because it was on an episode of BILLIONS...

Cleveland Guardians are my team and we should have won that series!! Rajai Davis hit that 8th inning homer and mlb wanted Chicago to win that series hence the 20 minute rain delay!! Lol glad you’re back!

I was rooting for Cleveland, FWIW. Get Willie Mays Hayes a ring!

Yes! We can! Awesome piece Greg. I've noticed 'Matrix' names many times, (the case of Reality Winner being a prime example) just as I'm reminded of Bookman the library detective on Seinfeld. 😆 Welcome back & thank you ❤

Thanks! There are so many examples, but of course I couldn't think of any of them when I at down to write.

"The Library" episode of Seinfeld is one of my all-time favorites!

Fuckin' A Greg. I hate sports, yet was riveted - not just by the analogy, but by the history. Such a great writer you are, dear man. Welcome back.

Thanks! Rain delay. RAIN DELAY. It's crazy, right?

Another great article, mind-bending--felt as though I was immersed in Seth Speaks again.

Solid base hit. This one goes in your anthology.

Thanks. For the record, I wrote this last Sunday...

Greg Greg Greg. You were on vacation. It was ok to make notes—do some swings in the on deck to loosen up—but not okay to use up rare vacation time with your family. Still, a solid single, which is even more rare than vacation.

What a way to center Labor Day!

Did you catch Dennis Prager’s piece this week? OMG we all thought it was satire but I’ve decided that he could not help publishing what he really thinks about women.

Thank you Greg!

No, I have to check it out!

I feel weird about sharing it but I have never seen a better example of saying the quiet part out loud. He attacks every EVERY woman in the US! Teachers! Doctors! Child care workers!

I’m pretty sure Prager was the guy who discovered Stephen Miller when he was a troll at SaMoHi. This week I also read the Atlantic piece on Miller’s Babies in Cages project. 🔥🔥🔥

Wow! The 1890s called and want Prager to give back their rhetoric. The comments section make it SO much worse!

While you were on vacation, I decided to take one too and read the FDR at War trilogy by Nigel Hamilton. Your piece today fits my mood perfectly. Pass the peace pipe. Woo.

I think I'm going to have to try that ayahuasca. This was terrific, Greg.

We’re happy you’re back. Wonderful work, Greg.

Never knew that a baseball player with my last name had a team named after him!

Man oh man! I was grinning all through this piece! You surely summed things up at the end. Good and decent things are finally happening. I hear the drums in the distance, marching towards palatial residence in Florida, coming for a big orange blowhard. Ever see the movie “Ghost”? Where all the little dark critters, that look like PacMen, go after the evildoers? Just wish they were real! We’ve missed you, Greg.

Outstanding piece.

Someone on Heather's substack was so angry with 45, she said she couldn't even use the word "trump" anymore and was searching for a synonym. Merriam Webster to the rescue had the word "prevail" (among others) as a substitute. So no more "trump," just "prevail!" I was told, however, it may not work when you're playing Bridge.
