This is just one example of how the GOP has become the Warlock Party. The term may have become associated in Scotland with MALE WITCHES due to the idea that they had made pacts with Auld Hornie (my note: remember pussy grabbing and that horney old devil - Epstein ?) and thus had betrayed the Christian faith and broke their baptismal vows or oaths. Donald broke his promise and vows to the USA. He and his get, his associates deserve to be pants, socially and financially, stripped of their citizenship and expelled from the country permanently.

They are worshipers of false gods for sure, but I know some witches, and I like them, and I don't like Republicans.

Someone from Salem objected on Twitter to Trump's using the term "witch hunt." With the levels of sensitivity today and the horrific treatment of women in Salem's history, the tweet makes a legitimate point. It's not always that clear. In Plymouth, we lost some of our Thanksgiving traditions after a "Native" protest. I understand there wasn't a Native American among the protestors. They were bussed-in rabble rousers. Not that there's nothing to protest, for sure, but some objections hold up; others don't. Trump has no grounds for comparing his situation to a witch hunt, although he's so unethical that another assault just gets lost.

Witches are female; generally speaking females are programmed by their hormones to care for the safety and well-being of children, not necessarily to hunt and kill. It's easier to like witches.

Would be nice to use the real Mueller report to bring more charges against the Trump crime family.

Greg is the best fisher of intel. ACLJ had those numbers when trying to impeach Comey in 2015. Pat Robertson is just one day cold...but ACLJ has come up with a new "revenge tactic" for FOIA.

Its the "prejudice against requestors" act, law, argument?

Ric Grenell is "gay" but "token DNI gay" ifkwim, so allowed to be part of ACLJ. And they want revenge on Buzzfeed.

Ladies. Whores. Jezebels. Remember. Ric Grenell's gay is somehow righteous. You. ARE A SLUT DEMON.

That is NOT a fun group of people. Just a hateful bunch of fascists.

SLUT DEMON is too nice for what they are. (I think that's a good band name, actually...)

When he was DNI or whatever the title is, he trolled me on Twitter, denying being a Russian asset even though I didn't accuse him of being a Russian asset.

Volume 1 of the Mueller Report announced there was insufficient evidence to charge a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia to impact the 2016 election. But insufficient evidence is not the same as absence of evidence. Former Mueller top team member, Andrew Weismann, revealed Mueller supervising Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein did not permit Mueller et al to “follow the money.” Had the Muller team been able to do so, they might have been able to support the substantial charge of criminal conspiracy, and place it into their report. We are very aware the one constant driver in Trump’s life is money. Trump Junior once said the majority of their money came from Russia. Perhaps the real reason for the Trump Tower meeting was to secure money for “Trump Tower Moscow.”

Regardless and even though DOJ Policy precluded any prosecutorial action on such a charge while Trump was in office, it’s doubtful Trump would have been protected from a charge of criminal conspiracy once he was out of office.

Agree, John, that insufficient evidence is not the same as absence of evidence. I thought so at the time and still think so today.

Some day the truth about Trump’s conspiracy with the Russians will out even if I don’t live to see it.

I feel like that part of the report is bullshit. Muller couldn't look into the money, as you said. Trump/Russia was ALWAYS a thing.

Is it just my imagination, or does it appear that behind every tree and shrub, under every rock, lurking in every crevice is someone connected to Russia, or someone who IS Russian, someone with financial ties to Russia or someone who is a bonafide Russian asset?

Ahh, the halcyon days of 2016, when all we worried about was a buffoon taking screen time away from our first female president. In some parallel universe, none of this happened, and Hillary is now winding down her second term with a great many accomplishments behind her. In a parallel universe that none of us can get to. Ugh! The resistance continues.

Comey cost Hillary the election! Even though it was by Electoral vote. It is the only way they win! I mean really, the guys got a IQ of an idiot! And he was on a TV show! How the hell do these guys, like Bush Jr. and movie star Reagan, actually run the country ? It’s insane! And the Supreme Court is run by sex offenders! Rapist! What a great nation we live in! Instead of looking at how other countries are run, we should be looking at our own! Capitalism I.E. money runs this country! All countries really. Equality and middle class has to come back! It’s the combination of Insurance companies and Banks that made this country crazy! The Glass-Seagull act has to come back! And you know who did that? Clinton’s guy Rubin!

By ignoring the best opportunity any president would ever have to stop our dependence on foreign oil and look to alternate energy sources, Bush II may well have been the guy who ended human life on this planet. So, there's that, too.

Have to ask: How is it known about the meeting and who was in attendance, given that 45 wasn't 45 yet, still a candidate?

Joyce Vance published an interview she had with Mary Trump. In response to a question Joyce asked, this is what Mary had to say:

"This isn’t my memory, but it’s a family story that I think is important for understanding certain aspects of Donald’s psychology. It’s been passed down for over seven decades and I’ve heard it so many times that it almost feels like it belongs to me.

"One night, as my grandmother was in the kitchen getting dinner ready, all five of her kids were in what we called the breakfast room waiting for her to feed them. Donald was around five and, to pass the time, he was tormenting his little brother Robert who was only three or four. Robert was hysterical and nothing anybody said or did (including my grandmother—Donald never listened to her) could get Donald to stop the abuse. My grandfather wasn’t home yet so my dad, who was almost eight years older, decided in the moment that the only way to solve the problem was to dump an enormous bowl of mashed potatoes on Donald’s head. And it worked. Donald stopped his teasing, Robert stopped his crying—but, and this was the problem, everybody else started laughing at Donald.

"The reason I think this was such a pivotal moment is that in the many times this story has been told (usually at a family holiday dinner and usually by my Aunt Maryanne) Donald has reacted in the same way—he looks down, juts out his jaw, and crosses his arms. This is a man who is incapable of getting over grudges and who has absolutely no ability to laugh at himself, which is a dangerous combination."

I heard somewhere that telling this story in front of Donald is the only thing that gets to him; it's his Achilles heel.

Anyway, Greg, this podcast with Cliff Schecter along with last evening's Five/8 episode with you, LB, Jen and Zarina, got me closer to "being in the know." Thanks to Chunk, et al. for a job well done!

The NYT broke the story in July 2017. Junior released his emails. People in the meting subsequently gave testimony about what occurred. And Firestone knows Veselnitskaya well enough to figure it out. It's what we DON'T know that remains a mystery...

"A Putin-picked translator" Why would Putin go to the trouble of picking a translator if he didn't 1) expect something "big" to happen and/or intend to have his representative(s) make it happen and 2) want a full report for later use?

What's your opinion on the judge picked at "random" for Trump's case?
