Exactly my thoughts on Sanders, going back to 2015...Bernie tweeted yesterday to join him “to take on the democratic establishment” Sanders means to defeat what HRC represented when she raised funds for all down ticket candidates, fund every democratic office in every state in 2015-2016 and onward..then Sanders had the nerve to tell Democrats/DNC that the infrastructure wasn’t adequate enough for his campaign...when he hadn’t given a sou or a hapenny to sustain one let alone 100’s of those offices. Sanders is without doubt a piece of work, most of his colleagues think so...most of them ignore his rants
Bernie's is the only campaign talking about issues that matter to regular people. If wanting clean water is like voting for santa clause, then yeah I'm voting for santa clause.
I think Elizabeth Warren is talking about issues that matter to most people, the difference is that she has worked out plans that will likely work, and to not cause a great increase of the deficit. Bernie still doesn’t know how he’s going to do anything because he isn’t a serious candidate not now and not then...he’s in it for a far different reason, and it’s not good for our Democracy when he says he wants to “destroy democratic establishment” the same DNC which is helping him an “independent” to use every polling office in every state which is supported by the money raised by HRC a real Democrat. As far as I know, Sanders hasn’t paid for those services because he keeps the money to himself, after all he’s a millionaire now...soon to be a billionaire.
This is a great point...anyone who insists that they have to vote for someone progressive, b/c that's of the utmost important, has a more viable candidate in Warren. In 2016, that was not the case (although I'll believe until my dying day that HRC would have gotten more progressive policy implemented than any prez since FDR). Bernie's candidacy is superfluous.
Yes, HRC is open to many ideas, it’s what makes her so popular with most Democrats who use critical thinking skills to dismiss the GOP accusations and interminable investigations which only served to stir up the GOP base, who will believe anything Republicans tell them unfortunately.
HRC is quite brilliant as well, having spent much of her law career thinking up better laws and policies to make life better for most Americans. GOP were quite frightened by her progressive ideas of medical care etc in the 1990’s. It’s why they were merciless on her from that time onward.
I’m an old boomer, lived through all of this, having but one voice, I’m glad that twitter has added power to your voice and many others like you, all telling real truth, as most of us have never heard it before. Media, having their own voices are restrained by conservative corporate bosses, so we would never hear all of the facts just the slanted opinions of the corporation. I will continue to look for truth and retweet or share it when I find it. Thanks for this Greg.
AMEN AMEN AMEN. After the McGovern defeat, the American Left (Michael Harrington, Tom Hayden, etc.) held a series of meetings where it was decided to join up with the Labor movement, the Civil Rights movement, the Women's movement, the nascent Environmental movement, and the Peace movement IN THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY. Over the years, we have walked precincts, made phone calls, raised money, and compromised to advance our common agenda and build a movement that elected the first African-American US president and was poised to elect the first woman US president until the RUSSIANS and the Bernie Bros undermined the popular vote.
Bernie took his wife to the Soviet Union for their honeymoon, as one does. For years, he extolled the virtues of the USSR. Rather than grok that it’s all KGB-fed propaganda and lies, he’s been a staunch Bolshevik apologist for his entire adult life.

Excellent piece, which you’ve written despite the attention it will bring to your door. You’re a brave man, and thank you.

What will today's news hold? Manafort moves to Russia? Kavanaugh(not Thomas) resigns?
