Well during that time my "Chinese friend from Houston" (Can you imagine I had "Russian friends from Houston" being GOP at the time? Giggles. Houston Welder anyone?) had been warning me of the dangers to the shipping routes if we were to disrespect One China. Also...Nigeria had closed their Taiwan embassy at the behest of China at that time. The Russian bot and troll Army began to convince MAGAs to start online wars with China Tweeterz. In retrospect...its pretty funny. But all relates to Taiwan and Africa. Remember the Kenya stuff in 2015 (Belt and Road) and the election tamper in Africa? Or when Suez began to accept Yuan? As much work as went into educating Americans about IRA ...there is about 4x as much as it relates to China and Africa. Most of the UN "peacekeeping troops" were Chinese...happily mapping out the Belt and Road. Pratt and Whitney never shoulda fucking helping with Cheng Du railroad. Just opens up those tech gates to smaller service contractors computers to hack more tech to hack if ya get my drift.
All of these little men (and they are almost invariably little men) playing RISK with the countries of the world, capturing territories with a roll of the dice, and of course, who has the biggest army to do it. Rodney King famously said, "Can't we all just get along?" The answer is no. No, we can't. This has gone on throughout history and will go on when everyone alive today is gone. It's the way of the world. In a few centuries, we will be doing the same things on Mars or wherever we take our poison next.
I didn't see this coming, but for this "ugly" American it was refreshing to get this lesson in world affairs that I have avoided learning about for too long. Thanks, Greg, for hosting Mr. Flower today. It was particularly interesting to have the perspective of a "USA'er" from Australia!
